SPO critically injured in Pulwama | KNO

A special police officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir police was critically injured after suspected militants opened fire upon him at Rahomoo area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday. Official sources told that the gunmen fired at SPO Showkat Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Ahsan Dar near Petrol Pump at Rahomoo. “Dar who was posted at Police Lines Pulwama immediately shifted to the district hospital Pulwama where he was referred to army’s 92 base hospital,” they said. The incident took place at 9:25 am in Rahomoo. SSP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam confirmed the incident told that police are verifying the details. SSP said that Dar received four bullets and was taken to Pulwama hospital where from he was referred to Srinagar hospital in serious conditions. Soon after the incident, a joint team of forces launched a hunt to nab the assailants, the official said.
